COVID19 Policy

Update: June 8, 2020

Our showrooms and offices are now open and we are following CDC approved social distancing. If you would like to make an appointment for more detailed service please call the desired location. Thank you for your support!

As COVID-19 keeps unfolding, rest assure that our management team is actively monitoring the situation.

The following are protocols that Hill Country Overhead Door has adopted:

    • First and foremost, if an employee is not feeling well or has a close family member not feeling well, they have been instructed to stay home.
    • At this time, we are keeping our office and showroom closed to the public for walk ins. However, we do offer online catalogs and can help navigate customer concerns over the phone or email.
    • Our employees have also been briefed on preventative recommendations for COVID-19 as outlined by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure that our employees stay safe and healthy and can continue to service our community.
    • Employees have been instructed to wash hands frequently and keep the 6 foot recommended self distance. If our employees have an urgent appointment to attend to, they have also been instructed to sanitize and clean any areas they touch. Please call our office to see if we can address questions, concerns, or schedule appointments over the phone to try and keep traffic in our office to a minimum. Thank you so much for your cooperation during this difficult and uncertain time.

Owner’s Statement:

I have seen and read all the various “Dear John” letters from corporate entities about shutting down production or how we are an “essential
business”, but the fact of the matter is… that does not reach out to the American worker. Nor does it make sense to us.
A man has an inherit need, a desire, a calling, a want, to work. It is in his nature to build, and to serve a purpose. He cannot sit idly by and watch
the grass grow. He has to tame it. He has to cut it. He has to pull out the mower, check the oil, clean the air filter, sharpen the blade, and cut the grass. It is his nature.
Gen 3:17
To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.”
We toil and labor because it is built into our blood. We struggle, we strive, we build, we work, because it is who we are as men.
Men who, have worked their whole lives, and have to stop working for some reason, whether it is early retirement, forced or unforced, suddenly find themselves with not much to do. At first, it feels like a vacation, eventually the lack of purpose leads to a struggle for meaning. A man can find himself alone, without a cause, and with no wind in his sail.
I have seen too many of these men willingly hop on that boat. They did not rage, rage, against the dying of the light. They simply sailed off into the void.
Today, we face an unknown enemy. Whether this microscopic villain was genetically engineered or simply a natural occurrence, does not matter to us.
WE WANT TO WORK.
